It’s me.

My name is Christiane and I live in Vancouver, BC. I love creative writing but I’ve never been very good at it, so instead I tell stories where I can rely on retelling the truth.

This blog is a collection of stories about my family, my faith, my adventures on mission (when I go) and other experiences I share to hopefully inspire and encourage. The title “Self Second” reflects my personal desire to lead a Christ-centered life.

I have a B.A. in Art History from the University of British Columbia and an Associate Certificate in Fundraising Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. I am an experienced fundraiser with a heart for Christ-centered missional work.

In the summer of 2010 I went on a missions trip to Trinidad & Tobago and St. Lucia, two island countries in the Caribbean. My blog originally began as a way for me to tell the story of that adventure. You can read more about that here.
